I bought this tailstock Cam Lock Kit from littlemachineshop.com for $29.99. The Install was pretty simple except for the tailstock was not very flat where the cam block was installed. So flatten it out by running the mill through it once.
This is one of the cheapest and time saving mod you can do for the 7x10 lathe. Instead of using a wrench to loosen and tightening the tailstock, all you need to do is pull the leaver.

It is hard to tell in this picture but the powder coating it not flat so will machine it flat so the cam setup will sit flat with the base. In this picture I just starting to make my first cut, that is why there are metal; shavings already.
