|I bought this Losi 5ive for a guy all the way in the East Coast. Here is the exact posting the seller wrote:
I has very little risk for this purchase because the seller shipped the truck first, then I sent him an US Postal money afterwards. The only thing I took a chance on was the condition of the engine. Since the pull start was broken and the handle was not included I was not able to test it until a few weeks later.
|Here are my first impressions of the truck. The body is a bit more damaged that what the seller claimed it to be. I texted the seller asking if there are any cracks on the body and he failed to mention the cracks on the front left and right fenders.
The dents on the body does not bother me as much as the cracks shown above. But I wonder how he got these strange dents.
I have to admit that the bottom of the chassis is very clean. I looks like it is brand new. From the looks of the inside of the truck he must of only ran it in the sand because there is barely any scratch on the chassis.
From far away the truck looks pretty clean but when you take a closer look, there is quite a bit of sand in it. The seller did tell me about it and offered to clean some of it out, but I told him not to bother. Because I plan to tear it down anyways to do my standard mods and change the diff oils.
I like how he had the Hitec 5764MH servos so I can use both of them for the steering and use a different servo for the throttle/brakes. He is also using a KillerRC 7200mah 2S lipo so I can run everything at a higher voltage.
He sent in his Zenoah G290RC engine to OBR and modified it to a Full Mod 30.5, so that is why this engine did not come with the billet case. You can also see in the picture the pull start with a missing pull start handle. .
Here are some close up pictures of the trucks so you can see the sand caked on.
This is a box of sand that I brushed off the truck while I was tearing it down.
Next up, the custom upgrade parts!
